On behalf of Surbiton Hockey Club, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visitors to this website, whether players, umpires, officials, members of the wider hockey family, or those new to the sport.

It is a huge honour to be hosting the EuroHockey Club Cup, Women from 17-20 May 2018 on behalf of the European Hockey Federation. This will be the largest undertaking in the club’s 144-year history and this website is designed to help ensure that everyone makes the most of their time with us.

Five-times English National Champions, Surbiton Ladies’ 1st XI, are looking forward to welcoming the top women’s teams from Europe to our Sugden Road club.

We are also delighted to welcome the teams taking part in the U14 EHCC tournament, which will take place from 19-20 May and form an integral part of the tournament experience. It is especially fitting that we will host this event given that Surbiton HC has one of the largest and most successful junior sections in the country.

We will do all we can to maximise your enjoyment, not only of the hockey and the tournament atmosphere, but also of our hospitality and the local environs. We are ideally located for trips to London and Windsor Castle, or to nearby attractions such as Hampton Court and Richmond Park.

I should like to thank Pure Storage for their contribution as key sponsors of this tournament. Also, our partners, Kingston Grammar School and Surrey Hockey Association, and all the other sponsors for their support for this event and during the season.

Last, but not least, a special vote of thanks and gratitude must go to all the volunteers who have invested a huge amount of time and effort in preparing for this tournament. Their work is not yet done, but I am sure they will do everything they can to ensure that you enjoy your visit to Surbiton.

We look forward to welcoming you in May.
